Currently, membership into the VPPPA is predicated on your status within the federally sponsored VPP program. The Voluntary Protection Programs Participants’ Association, Inc. (VPPPA) is the leading organization dedicated to cooperative occupational safety, health and environmental management systems. The VPPPA, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, is a member-based association, providing a network of over 2,100 companies and worksites that are involved in or in the process of applying to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) or the Department of Energy’s (DOE) Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP) as well as other government agencies that are developing or implementing cooperative recognition programs.
The VPPPA clearly understands that "safety is not a competition". Though the Association provides integral support for its members participating in VPP, members of other programs can greatly benefit from services provided through the Association. The greatest benefit is through annual conference participation. The Voluntary Protection Program Participants' Association annual conference is one of the premier safety and health conferences in the nation. With thousands of participants, hundreds of exhibitors, and peer taught workshops in your industries focusing on several key categories of safety and health, this is an opportunity that many safety professionals take advantage of. This conference has a great deal to offer Safety and Health Professionals as well as the every day employee. Every year professional and peer taught sessions are made available to your organization. OSHA courses are also available so that you can earn valuable CEU credits. Instructors from OSHA, Texas Engineering Extension Service, the University of Texas at Arlington, and others consistently put together a solid line up for your benefit.
