The Internet has changed the world. Almost anyone can find out anything in a matter of seconds, and many a bet on trivia has been settled by the likes of webpages like Wikipedia. Techstreet has decided that the usefulness of the Internet for providing instant information can be applied to construction safety and have a website which is a one-stop shop for looking up safety codes and standards. The website is at www.techstreet.com and there is a rather long list of standards that can be ordered, including IEEE, AMCA, IAPMO, ASSE, and many more. The codes and standards themselves can be ordered as instant PDF downloads, printed paper hardcopies, or even just web database access. The idea is that with instant, easy access to codes and standards, professionals like engineers and contractors will have an easier time keeping in code and compliance and thus will be safe and result in safer end-products.
