Dover Electric Utility Among Those Recognized by APPA

These are good times for the City of Dover, DE. Dover Electric Utility recently received national awards and recognition from the APPA for energy innovation in addition to their second consecutive year without worker accidents.

 

Dover Electric Utility was one of 104 public power systems to earn the safety award out of over 250 entries. Two receive this award is an honor, and to receive it two years in a row is outstanding. Director Ron Lunt credits the award to staff and employees.

As mentioned, safety was not the only recognition they received. Dover Electric Utility's participation in creating "one of the largest solar power plants east of the Mississippi river" has also earned them recognition for energy innovation and conservation.
